What it is
A quota forecaster for any metered plan: API calls, events, emails, seats, storage or tokens. It works with a daily export or with a single number.
Usage forecasts for usage based plans
Quota Breach reads daily usage against a plan limit, projects where the billing period will end, tells you the day the limit will be crossed and what the overage will cost. It also checks whether a bigger plan would be cheaper and writes the note for your customer and your finance team.

Customer success managers, account managers, founders selling usage based plans, and finance teams who want no surprises at the end of the month.
A usage dashboard shows where you are today, not where the month will end. Here you see the breach date, the expected bill and the best plan while there is still time to act.
Fill in the plan, paste usage per day and press Check quota. Everything is calculated in this page and nothing is sent anywhere.
Enter a plan limit and usage, or load the sample account to see a full forecast.
Plain arithmetic you can check by hand. No model, no guesswork.
The total so far compared with the limit, as a number and a percentage.
The average of the last 7 days, so a recent change in behaviour counts more than the start of the month. With fewer days the period average is used.
Used so far plus the daily pace times the days left in the period.
The first day the total passes the limit, or the day the pace will take it there.
How much can be used per day from now on without going over.
Units over the limit, rounded up to whole billing units and priced. Each plan in the list is priced the same way so you can see the cheapest.
Type the plan limit, the unit and the billing period dates. Set the warning level you use, 80 percent by default.
Export daily usage from your billing or analytics tool, or type one number with its date.
Enter the overage price and, if you like, the other plans to compare.
Copy the receipt into the account thread and send the ready message to the customer in their language.
If every number is at least as big as the one before and the series more than doubles, it is read as a running total. You can always set the mode by hand.
It uses the last 7 days, because a customer who doubled usage last week will not slow down to the monthly average.
Yes. For seats or storage, paste the running total per day and choose Running total.
It is an estimate from the forecast. Overage is rounded up to whole billing units, the way most providers bill it.
